Haboob Desert Storm arrives as light transformed by force. In the Southwest, a haboob—a vast wall of dust—does not block light; it remakes it. The sky turns copper and gold, as if the sun has been ground into the air itself. Light thickens, no longer clear, but carried in every grain of moving earth.

The horizon disappears, replaced by a glowing surge that advances with quiet intensity. Reds deepen, yellows ignite, and shadows dissolve into a suspended haze. Light is no longer distant—it surrounds, presses close, and fills the space between breath and sight.
