I was walking along the Islands area of Lake Lanier one evening as the sun began to set, and the quiet beauty of the landscape stopped me. The warm light stretched across the water, reflecting the sky and the lone tree standing at the edge of the creek. In that moment, the peacefulness of the scene felt deeply healing to me. I decided to paint Lanier Creek to capture that feeling—so others might also experience the calm, reflection, and restoration that nature offered me there.
